Some online travel agencies are not yet technologically developed when it comes to ecommerce. I am saying this based on my encounter. I made an online flight order using my debit card to pay for the airfare. The flight was not booked because the agency refused my card simply because it is not a credit card. But when I checked my debit balance with my local bank, I found out that the airfare was credited from my account although it was not successfully booked. I contacted the agency and the bank to resolve it but it took them 14 banking days before they returned the amount to my account.

Although I am aware of the handling period, I still wish there is something they can do about it. If the booking was not successful why do they have to charge my card the entire amount of the airfare? With regards to the bank, why does it takes 14 banking days to process it when they can do it in one day through online banking transactions?

It would be an advantage for them if they can resolve this kind of issues before this case happen again.
